Hastelloy C276 properties include great resistance to a phosphoric acid-containing solution. This alloy of nickel also exhibits great resistance to corrosion by seawater, especially under crevice conditions. These materials include 316 SS, Monel alloy 400, and Inconel alloy 625.

Due to the chemical composition of Hastelloy C276, it has great resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. This alloy is used for various applications, including scrubbers, ducting & stack liners, stack gas reheaters, and fans.


Hastelloy C 276 is also universally known as UNS N10276. It is known for its good weldability. This alloy is capable of being welded by commonly used welding methods. If proper welding techniques are implemented, high-quality welds can be produced with conventional welding processes.
