Austenitic SS 347 Round Bar
SS 347 Round Bar is a columbium/tantalum stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel similar to type 304 with an addition of Columbium and Tantalum. SS 347 Bar has slightly improved corrosion resistance over type 321 stainless steel in strongly oxidizing environments.

Properties
SS 347 Bar is an austenitic stainless steel offering an excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 to 1500O F. SS 347 has columbium to stabilize it which is preferred in aqueous and low-temperature environments as it has good resistance capabilities to intergranular attacks.

Stainless Steel 347 Round Bar is a niobium stabilized chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel with corrosion resistance similar to 304/304L. This grade is typically used in the 800-1500 ̊F temperature range where it is stabilized against chromium carbide precipitation by the addition of niobium, which results in the precipitation of niobium carbides.
