Copper Nickel 70/30 Flat
Cupro Nickel 70/30 flat and Cupro Nickel 70/30 flat is a copper and nickel alloy with additions of iron and manganese. These elemental additions make it even more resistant to corrosion and erosion and with slightly improved strength level than alloy 90/10, making it suitable for more demanding applications.

Cupro Nickel 70/30 exhibits superb resistance to attacks from steam, boiler feed-water and freshwater. Cu-Ni 70/30 flats or UNS C71500 can withstand attacks from sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and also from mild organic acids.
Application
Copper Nickel 70/30 Alloy flat has a long and successful history in the marine sector that has since extended to industries including offshore oil and gas, power generation, desalination and cooling plants.
The alloy is also used for seawater service, submarine, offshore fire water systems, heat exchangers, condensers, and areas where high corrosion resistance is required and concern over chloride stress-corrosion cracking prevents the use of stainless steels.
