The 90-10 copper-nickel alloy contains small but important additions of iron in levels as a result to provide the best combination of resistance to flowing seawater and localised corrosion. Copper-nickel alloys have good resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion.

Specification
The Cu-Ni 90/10 alloy sheet and plate or UNS C71500 specified by ASTM standard as ASTM B 171 or ASME SB-171 are readily available in different types such as, for example, plane Cu-Ni 90/10 Sheet and plane Cu-Ni 90/10 Plate, Shim, Thin, Perforated, Polished, Diamond, Chequered, Hot rolled, Cold rolled, Annealed, Soft annealed , coils, clad plate, strip etc.
As per availability and requirement Cu-Ni 90/10 Sheet and Plate can be manufactured in different types burt, also they also has different types of finishing on surface such as for example, Brushed ,Polished t, Mirror finish, Mirror polished, Hot rolled(HR), Cold rolled (CR), 2B,2D, BA NO(8), SATIN(Met with Plastic coated).
Application
Cupro Nickel 90/10 Sheet and plates or (UNS C70600) are used in power steering tube, brake lines, condenser plates, pressure vessels and distiller tubes. Because of their unique useful properties, Cupro Nickel 90/10 Plate and sheets are specified for marine engineering applications, such as in shipbuilding and repair, desalination plants, offshore oil and gas structures and power generation.
