Ferritic SS 430 Fittings and Flange
Grade 430 (UNS S43000) or SS 430 Fittings or SS 430 Flanges are the most widely used family of Ferritic alloys. It is known for its good corrosion resistance to numerous substances, excellent stress, and formability, coupled with practical mechanical properties.

SS 430 offers exceptional resistance to corrosion by sulphuric and phosphoric acids and is often the most cost effective alloy in sulphuric acid service. The additions of copper and molybdenum increase its resistance to general stress corrosion and to specific attacks such as crevice corrosion.

SS 430 Fittings and SS 430 Flanges have excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of chemicals, especially in acidic chloride environments such as those encountered in pulp and paper mills. Increased levels of chromium, nickel and molybdenum compared to 316L stainless steel improve resistance to chloride pitting and general corrosion.
