General pipes and tubes are those pipes which don’t have precise specifications. They usually have less complicated application but have a wide portfolio of the industries in which they are used. General pipes are available in both seamless and welded form. General pipes are used in domestic water systems, pipelines for liquid or gases over a long distance or in process plants. It is used as utility or process piping for LNG, seawater piping system etc.
General pipes and tubes are also used as manufacturing process components. General pipes and tubes are manufactured in wide range of grades and alloys and length of the pipes can be random or according to customer’s requirement.At SHALCO, General Pipes and Tubes product are available in seamless and welded pipes in materials as per ASTM & ASME standards in grades like;

Nickel Alloys also known as Super Alloys are those metals that contain more than 30% nickel. It is a hard and ductile metal of silver-white color. It has high corrosion resistance suitable for both high and low temperature applications. Nickel is a fair conductor of heat and electricity making it suitable for its use in furnaces, heat exchangers, aerospace engineering etc. Nickel has high metallurgical stability making it suitable for hard-metal industry. It also acts as a catalyst in various chemical processes.
