Hastelloy C 276 sheet and plate is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium super alloy with an addition of tungsten designed to have excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments. Alloy C276 has excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments.

Properties

Alloy C-276 hastelloy is resistant to stress corrosion cracking, general corrosion, crevice corrosion and pitting in a wide range of severe environments. The hastelloy C 276 composition allows it to have exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Hastelloy C276 Sheet & Hastelloy C 276 plate has excellent resistance to strong oxidizers like ferric and cupric chlorides.

Hastelloy C276 properties include excellent resistance to phosphoric acid-containing solutions. C276 Hastelloy sheet and plate exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion by seawater especially under crevice conditions which induce attack in other commonly used materials such as 316 stainless steel, MONEL alloy 400, and INCONEL alloy 625.

Alloy C-276 sheets and plates materials are used for recovery and handling of sour natural gas, which contains hydrogen sulfide and usually carbon dioxide and chlorides. These gases can be extremely corrosive to carbon and alloy steels, and may cause brittle failure of many alloys by sulfide stress cracking or stress-corrosion cracking.

The Hastelloy C 276 plate and sheet or UNS N10276 specified by ASTM standard as  ASTM B 575 or ASME SB-575 are readily available in different types such as, for example, Hastelloy C-276 Plane sheet and Plate, Shim, Thin, Perforated, Polished, Diamond, Chequered, Hot rolled, Cold rolled, Annealed, Soft annealed , coils, clad plate, strip etc.

As per availability and requirement Alloy C-276 Sheets and Plate can be manufactured in different types burt, also they also has different types of finishing on surface such as for example, Brushed ,Polished t, Mirror finish, Mirror polished, Hot rolled(HR), Cold rolled  (CR), 2B,2D, BA NO(8), SATIN(Met with Plastic coated).

Application
