Inconel 600 flat and Inconel 600 flat is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance at higher temperatures, with good resistance in carburizing and chloride containing environments. Its chromium content gives the alloy resistance to sulfur compounds and various oxidizing environments. 

Mechanical Properties

According to the Inconel 600 data flat, the chromium content of the alloy makes it superior to commercially pure nickel under oxidizing conditions. Inconel 600 flat is relatively un-attacked by the majority of neutral and alkaline salt solutions and is used in some caustic environments. The alloy resists steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide.

Inconel flat are used in many applications such as in Ethylene dichloride (EDC) cracking tubes, Conversion of uranium dioxide to tetrafluoride in contact with hydrofluoric acid, in pressurized water reactors it is used for control rod guide tubes and steam generator baffle flats etc.
